John Mahon is a professional percussionist and backing vocalist, most noted for his recent work with Elton John. He grew up in Ohio, and was attraced to music when he joined a local drum/bugle club. He grew up listening to music by Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Moody Blues, among many others. When he is not touring, he enjoys mountain biking and sculpture.
